If you love hot summers, cold winters and everything in between, Springfield is for you! I know some people despise hot summers, don’t like to swim, hike, camp or any activity related to the outdoors. Also, if you’re like me, you’re not a fan of the cold, winter months. However, if you’re a fan of all four seasons in full swing as well as enjoy the festivities that follow suit.

Are you a fan of public transportation? Well, we don’t have much. This can be a plus or a minus depending on who you are. We have rock bottom used car prices and not much traffic. That’s a major, major plus for many of us. However, if you’re looking for more of a big city vibe like new york, california or even kansas city, this isn’t that. Springfield has a small town vibe and public transportation isn’t a priority here.

Do you love nice restaurants? Well, Springfield and the surrounding cities have some of my favorite restaurants in the world. My top 5 being Flame steakhouse downtown, avanzare italian, The finley, The mill and the vineyard market wine and cigar lounge all in ozark. Spoiler alert, Ozark is a fantastic smaller city just outside of springfield. We will cover that town very soon here on the boss properties youtube channel.

If you’re coming from a big city, and want a large, swanky downtown loft, eh, you may be disappointed. We do have lofts, but they’re nothing to write home about. Mostly because our downtown isn’t that big and keep in mind, we’re still fairly small at 167,000 in the heart of springfield.

However, we have below average cost of living, home prices and rents. If you’re looking for a cheap place to live in a safe neighborhood, Springfield has that. I know someone paying $495 for a 1 bedroom apartment just a few minutes down the road from me! Not to mention, we have a thriving job market, putting more overall money in your pocket.

We’ve got more details on the pro’s and con’s of living in Springfield on this channel, but briefly let’s talk about some other MAJOR benefits.

Great schools, including plenty of colleges and universities. Some of the best healthcare in the country with 17% of our workforce being employed in the healthcare industry. So no matter if you or a family member is old or young, Springfield Missouri is a great place for everyone.
